“I am passionate about seeing people saved, healed, set free and empowered to live a joyous life.”

It sounds funny to say this, but one of the best pieces of advice I ever got was this: “If you can do anything in the world other than be a pastor, and still feel fulfilled, then go do that instead.” Haha.

The youth pastor at my church told me this when I was 15 years old after I felt called to go into fulltime ministry. At the time, I had this realisation that all I wanted to do with my life was serve God. I’ve been a pastor now for more than 15 years and I can truly say being a pastor is amazing, but you need to hold onto God’s call to get you through those inevitable challenging times.

I love seeing God take our brokenness and turn it into something beautiful that glorifies Him and blesses others. It’s a joy to walk with people through their ‘stuff’ and help them leave the weight of their past behind, so they can step into the fullness God has for them.  To help me do this, I’ve completed the Master Equipper certification through Global Awakening’s Christian Healing Certification Program, and I’m a member of the International Society of Deliverance Ministers.

Before I joined our church as a pastor in 2007, I was Youth and Worship Pastor in Atlanta. I also toured as a musician with a Christian band, which I loved, and I wanted to keep doing that forever… but God had other plans.

My wife, Bronwen, and I left America and moved to Brisbane… and I honestly didn’t want to come here! I remember actually fighting it. But in hindsight, it really was a God thing and I’m glad we were obedient.

Bronwen and I have three children – Lilah, Gabriel and Chloe. Since moving here, I’ve become quite a beach bum, so we love spending time together on the Gold Coast, swimming, eating fish & chips and fishing.
